Was founded by Nagat Hassan in 1991, and in 1993, she was joined by Shamel Abaza. With their focus on providing quality products and superior customer service, the business has grown significantly over the years. EDFR Food moved into its current 3 factories in 2006.

Our company remains both relevant and successful by adhering to the same values we established 20 years ago: Provide quality products at competitive prices and keep the focus on servicing our customers. We offer a list of ingredients that is continually growing. Our quality ingredients are sourced locally. Our distribution is centralized in our Alexandria Factories, and we maintain warehousing both in Africa and Asia
